The Madrid International Film Festival is an annual film festival focused on independent films. Gabriel Fernandez’s (“Mana” ) (subtitled “Inheritance”), commissioned by Benilde for its Silver Jubilee in 2013, won the highest honor of the annual film festival dedicated to independent films. In addition to the festival’s top award, the film also won for Cherie Gil the Best Lead Actress in a Foreign Language Film award.
